How to Refill HP Q2612A (12A) Toner Cartridge

The HP Q2612A (12A) is probably the most ubiquitous Desktop Laser Toner cartridge on the market today. It's Cost of Refilling far offsets it's cost of purchase by almost 1000%!!! Below I am outlining the procedure of how to refill how to refill 12a toner cartridge.

What you will need:
1) 110g Magnetic (HP) Toner powder. (Any brand will do)
2) Philips Head Screw driver
3) Electric Blower or Vacuum Cleaner (set to blow)
4) A thin Nail.

Procedure:
-> Lift back the flap covering the drum and wedge it open with a piece of pencil eraser.
-> Remove the three screws from the gearbox side of the cartridge.
-> Lift up the OPC Drum (Green Thingy) from the gear side, and slowly pull it out whilst rotating it.
-> overturn the Cartridge and shake out the toner from the waste hopper
-> Use the blower to blow the hopper clean.
-> Pry up the gearbox cover as much as you can (whithout breaking it!!!). Now, insert the thin nail below the shaft of the Magnetic Roller (on the gearbox side) and lift it out.
-> On the other side, Insert the Nail and push out the shaft of the Roller with the nail.
-> Make sure that the thin plastic caps on either side of the roller are intact.
-> Now, pour the Toner into the hopper ocassionally shaking the cartridge to ensure even distribution.
-> Once done, clean the toner stuck on the magnetic roller with a soft cloth.
-> Re-Insert Magnetic Roller, Drum and Screws.
-> Blow the Cartridge clean once more (Make sure contacts at the sides are clean & shiny).

You are now ready to go!
